Trijicon Sighting Solutions For Peace And War
Trijicon make the sight combination standardized on the British Army's new LMT L129A1 Sharpshooter rifle. The ACOG 6X48 was updated to include an MIL-STD 1913 rail over its objective lens housing. The British Army specified the Trijicon Rugged Miniaturized Reflex sight to mount on this providing and instantly available close range sighting option. The TA648 comes in 5.56X45, 7.62X51 and 12.7X99 flavours. Calibration is from 100-800 meters for the 5.56 and 100-1200 meters for the 7.62. The chevron used for rapid aiming is available in red, amber or green. There is also a horseshoe and dot reticle option for the 7.62. The 6X48 ACOG mounts to the flat-top with a TA75 mount enabling relatively quick detach and return to zero. This is an immensely rugged sight. The TA648 is rated down to 100 meters for those who habitually exceed recreational dive limits with their rifles. There are no electronics or batteries to let you down.
Trijicon offer their Accupoint range engineered for the needs of sportsmen and hunters rather than the military. The Trijicon TR24 Trijicon Accupoint 1-4X24 is intended specifically for three gun competitions and other action disciplines and for big game hunting. The action shooting option comes with a post reticle surmounted by a red, green or amber triangle. Hunters are catered for with a German No. 4 reticle with an illuminated center dot. This scope has a constant 3.2" eye relief meaning you don't have to change shooting position when you crank up the magnification.
The Accupoint 1.25X24 is a less highly specified option, doing away with the perfect unitary power and constant eye relief and employing a non parallel 1" tube. This is a more compact and lighter unit than the 1-4X24. The sight is calibrated in traditional quarter inch clicks and are waterproof to an entirely acceptable 10 meters.
