Christmas And Survival Gadgets
It's Christmas time so the perfect chance to indulge in some gadgets. With so many 80's revivals happening, now is the perfect chance to relive your childhood and get a few new utility tools? Let's face it, the only reason the A-Team was ever popular was because we all wanted to see what improbable vehicle could be invented by the guys whilst the baddies patiently waited for their comeuppance, and not forgetting Macgyver, who made an entire series of making warships and particle accelerators out of bits of string and an old Texas Speak 'n' Spell.
Although you may not be able to fashion a nuclear reactor with it, one of the very handy "gifts for him" you can buy for under a tenner is a key fob tool that packs in eight handy functions in an item no bigger than one of your keys. As it sits on top of an existing key, it takes up hardly any space at all and although it boasts a cutter and a number of screwdriver blades, you are sure to get your money's worth from it as a bottle opener even if it doesn't make it into your survival kit.
If survival is your thing, then you can go hog wild at a range of portable survival kits that feature firemakers and hunting equipment, some small enough to pack into a space the size of a credit cards. Very useful if you can never get the attention of a waiter at your Christmas party. It's ideal for 18th birthday gifts for sons or friends who celebrate a little too hard and may need to draw on their innate survival skills to make it back home. For the rest of us males, it might actually go rather well with the SAS survival guides we all insisted we needed and couldn't do without in case of an emergency.
If you want to create the authentic A-Team experience, invest in a pair of battery-powered water pistols and shout "You Crazy Fool" before soaking the nearest flowerpot or cardboard box. Or, if you want the precision marksmanship of a truly bizarre A-Team gadget, no hairstyle or pile of paper will be safe with the laser-guided airzooka which also promises to be too much fun this year.
